American Legion Riders Post 55

Who We Are

The American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. They can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and supporting the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the Legion, the Legion Auxilliary, and the Sons of the American Legion. The American Legion Riders were formed...

ALL MEMBERS SHOULD READ THE NEXT THREE BULLETS FOR GUIDANCE

...to participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion.
...to promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share the same interest.
...to use our Association to promote and support programs of the American Legion.
The American Legion Riders is not a M/C, and does not practice M/C rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: the American Legion.

Directors Message:

I would like to welcome all new members. I am looking forward to a fun and productive year as the new Director. I am hoping to have many rides planned for our Veterans and other charity organizations this upcoming year. Things to keep in mind, the Children’s Home in Lexington and our Christmas Ride for the VA Hospital in Salisbury in December.

There is a bin in the game room for school supplies. Thank You Susan Temples for setting this up.

If anyone has anything they would like to see us participate in, please send me an email - KenLew64@aol.com

I would like to Thank everyone who comes out and supports the ALR. Our Cruise In/Bike night is getting stronger every week.

Chaplin's Message:

Thank you Lord, for the men and women of our armed forces. Protect them as they protect us. Defend them as they defend us, Encourage and strengthen their spirit, soul and body in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. May they be mentally and physically strong when required to face the challenges of combat.
